Project Life: 2012

I’m jumping on the Project Life bandwagon this year! I wanted to do it last year, but life just got away from me. THIS year is the year. Who’s with me? I’d love to know who all is joining me! I love how it’s such a simple way to document the every day. That’s what I’m all about and I know it’ll be such a treasure to look back on. I’m going to be very laid back about it – just taking pictures throughout the week here and there and documenting it all along the way, very simply. Some weeks I may have a picture every day and some weeks I may only have two pictures from that week. No rules. Very little supplies. Just simply recording the every day things here and there and remembering those special little moments during the year. :) I may have to make “Project Life Monday” here on the blog to hold myself accountable a bit. Ha! ;) I’m excited though! I am working on my cover page right now and I’ll share it once I’m done.

You can find out more about Project Life HERE. I love Ali’s Project Life style and philosophy. You can find out more HERE.A few other Project Life folks that I love are: Marcy Penner, Lisa Truesdell and Liz Tamanaha. Click on their names to see more from them!

Happy Monday to you! Hugs!

I’m doing it too, though debating whether I’m going to do the digital version or not. So far the Shutterfly digital version doesn’t have the Project Life templates and that’s what I really want it to look like. Sigh.

I’m starting my first year of it too, and I’m really excited to see how it goes. They’re out of Design A page protectors on amazon, so I bought some divided page protectors at Archiver’s this week, and I’m just making it work! :-) Can’t wait to see what you do with yours!

I would do it if I had a great LOCAL place to get my pics printed. We have a Sam’s opening on my exit so I’m hoping maybe that will be the place. Maybe next year with PL. Good luck! Can’t wait to see your version!

I’m trying PL too, but I can’t figure out how to print the 3×4 photos. Do you have any advice or recommendations or suggestions for how to print them??

The easiest way is to useyour photo editing software to create a photo collage of two 4×6 (vertical) photos onto one 4×6 canvas. Super easy in Picasa, if you have that.

      1. Select the 2 pics you want.
      2. Go to the CREATE tab at the top.
      3. Select PICTURE COLLAGE.
      4. Choose GRID ARRANGEMENT.
      5. Select 4×6 size.
      6. Choose spacing (do you want a white border around each picture). It will default to no border.
      7. Click on CREATE COLLAGE.

If you want to do it in Photoshop Elements, Ali Edwards hasa tutorial on her blog. Just search her name with photo collage, and it will come up. I’d put a link here, but i am on my husband’s tablet, and can’t seem to copy and paste without a mouse or control key! Sorry.

Love your studio. So bright and cheery! Hmm…will check out Project Life. I haven’t been scrapbooking for a LONG time…I have so many pictures that are just stuck in my computer…so sad. The task of beginning is so overwhelming due to the amount of photos I have.

It’s my first year too & I’m so excited! I did my title page but haven’t blogged about it yet. I did tweet a pic of it. I also plan on sharing my pages on Mondays on my blog. Thanks for giving us an office tour. I love peeking into fellow creative’s spaces & how they organize their supplies.

I’m in! My PL kit just arrived today, and I’m so excited to get started! I just need the page protectors now (they’re out of stock until Feb), but I am 4 for 4 with my picture-a-day project.
