Hi everyone!
First and foremost, thank you all for the sweet and encouraging comments you left on the blog post regarding my daughter. They filled my heart with so much joy! Thank you for the prayers! I wish I could hug every single one of you, but just know that they meant something to me and we appreciate it so much! Caylin is doing wonderfully and we are settling in on a routine and every day it gets a tiny bit easier. We’ll get there. Much love to you all!
Ok, now onto the new goodies that Crystal has released in the past couple of days! They are TOO cute! Crystal is doing something neat with her new Spring & Summer 2011 Collection. From now through August she is going to be adding paper & element packs that coordinate with the new color scheme that she has below. She’s going to continue to create themed pattern paper packs (like “Pretty Posies”), as well as the basic pattern collections. She’ll also be adding lots of element packs with coordinating buttons, stitches, labels, frames, stickers, etc. Then when her Fall & Winter 2011 Collection comes up – she’ll switch up the color theme and begin again.
Why is she doing that you may ask? Well, this is what she said:
“First, I’m a HUGE lover of the versatility & power of basic patterns. I also love to have a large variety of those patterns in a wide range of coordinating colors. When I have those 2 things, I find I can easily create pages that reflect good, clean, simple design. I also love having patterns against white, as well as duo-tone. This makes for easy coordinating of papers & lots of options as well.
The other reason why I’m really excited to focus on one color scheme for 6 months, is because you can create SO many color schemes out of a large range of coordinating colors. With this color line I can easily create lines for both boys & girls, as well as for Springtime & Summertime. Plus, it’s also nice when you feel like your layouts somewhat coordinate.”
I think it’s a very cool idea and I am loving what I am seeing so far and I know the rest of the collection is going to be fabulous! Check out these layouts she created with some of her new goodies:
