Happy Friday to you!

I really can’t think of any creative blog titles anymore. LOL.

Anyway, hope you are having a great Friday! I just wanted to pop on in here really quick to give you a few updates about the Cards for Kate and Eric card drive. As you know, sweet Eric passed away on Sunday. Jennifer is in the process now of finding out what we are going to do with the cards that were made for him. They will probably be given to his parents. If you would like to send a card of sympathy to his parents, that would be wonderful. Once the prizes are drawn next week, we will still be continuing the card drive so keep those cards coming. We are in the process of figuring out how best to continue the car drive. We are thinking about coming up with a list of kids who need cards and having you all make a card for anyone on the list or everyone on the list. Then they can be mailed to Jennifer and she will mail them to the child they are for. I think it’s a wonderful idea to keep this card drive going to help other children as well. Once the details are worked out, I will pass them along. Jennifer has a heart of gold. I just love people who are genuinely caring and kind. She is one of those people.

Jennifer has received thank you e-mails from both Kate’s Mom and her Grandma. She shared this e-mail from Kate’s Grandma on her blog:

Kate and the whole McRae family have been receiving as Holly puts it “tons” of cards. They all have enjoyed and continue to enjoy them a lot! Holly told me when Olivia and Will come up to the Ronald McDonald House that is the first thing they want to do is get the cards out and look at them. Kate has been pretty sick this week, but have no doubt once she gets her spunk back and feels better she will love looking at her cards! I can’t tell you what a ministry you have reaching kids and their families in these types of situations. God is truly using you and many others with the gifts He has given you! Holly wanted me to tell you that she has been wanting to thank you and even has a thank you sitting at Kate’s bedside. Just has not got it done yet. She has been pretty over whelmed with Kate’s care. She will be getting in contact with you. Thank you Jennifer for all you involved, its been such a huge blessing!! — Shirlee Bouck (Kate’s grandma)

What a sweet note! It makes me so happy to see how Kate and her family are enjoying the cards that all of us have made for them. And if you haven’t heard yet – Kate and her family will be appearing on the Dr. Phil show in the near future. Not sure of the date, but they recently taped a show and I just know it is going to touch a lot of people’s lives, help a lot of people and share Jesus’ love and that also makes me happy. I will let you know when it airs. Here’s a sweet photo taken from Kate’s site www.prayforkate.com
Please continue to pray for Kate and her family. Please also keep Eric’s parents and family in your prayers as well. I just can’t imagine what those families is going through. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day and weekend ahead. I can’t believe it’s almost November.

Hugs!
