Hey friends! Well, the Week in the Life 2020 album is all complete and so I’m sharing it here with you today! There are a lot of photos, so sit back, grab your favorite drink and enjoy and as always, if you have any questions about anything, you let me know! I’m happy to answer them! So thankful I did this project again (this is the 6th time I’ve done it) and will definitely do it again come next year! Thankful for the photographs, the memories documented and the fun I had with it all! Oh, and I love the fact that my family asked to see it when it was done and THEY love it! SCORE!
The travelers notebook just has the questionnaire in it that Ali provided in the prep class and then a photo of each of us on the other side. Nothing fancy and I didn’t take inside pictures of it!
I kept the same format throughout the album mostly: transparency with number of day, large 6×8 photo, journaling on the other side, 4 4×6 pocket, 8 3×4 pocket and then included any additional photos that I might have needed to in between. It kept things so much quicker to do and made knowing what I needed to print and what size so much easier. I highly recommend getting a system and sticking with it.
I’m a very simple embellisher and I made sure to include a gratitude card for each day. Love that.
I always love including extra photos in the pages, too to break it up a bit. I love the different depths and textures in an album.
I tell ya what, I just love 6×8 photos!
Printing the journaling out all at once made this project even easier for me. I didn’t have to worry about where to put the journaling for the photographs – instead I just copied and pasted what I included on my blog posts of the photos and voila – done! When I had more than one page, I just put “continued” on the bottom and then put the extra sheet behind it.
This year I included these 5×7 vertical photos as well and really loved it!
I always try to include some notes or art that my kids do in that week, too. This week though, there was nothing to include until sweet Lukie wrote me a note! It was the most precious thing!
At the end of the album I knew that I had some other photos that didn’t make it into their respected days of the week and so I just cropped them to 2×2 and used a 2×2 page protector to put them all in. I placed the chipboard heart in the middle and called it good. I’m not going to do anything on the back, and I’m totally ok with that. ;)
I always love to include something on the very back of the album and so this year, this is what I did. I used a die cut talk bubble and a piece of chipboard to share how I felt at the end of the album and basically to sum it all up.
Well, there it is! Thanks for checking it out and stopping by, friend! Remember, if you have a question about this album or project let me know! XO!
