    Jojo Maman Bebe: A Review

    Happy Thursday, friends!

I hope you all are having a great week!

I’m happy to be sharing with you all a super cute maternity, baby and kid shop that I recently reviewed. I was contacted probably about a month ago by the nice folks at JoJo Maman Bebe to see if I would be interested in getting a few pieces of clothes to look-over, review and share my thoughts about it all on my blog. I honestly had never heard of JoJo Maman Bebe before, but come to find out it’s a beloved UK-based children’s retailer that has been around for over 20 years. How cool, right? They don’t have any stand alone stores in the US just yet, but they DO have an online US store now HERE and they offer free shipping on orders of $75 and more! I was super happy to check them out (I love to check out new sites for kids) and see what their products and website were all about!

I was sent five different pieces to try. I received a pair of slipper socks, a pair of pajamas, a long-sleeved shirt, a zip-up hoodie and a knitted hat. I got them all for Luke since honestly, he’s the most cooperative model right now, they don’t make clothes large enough for Caylin and Jack is all about the Ninja Turtle shirts and camo shorts right now! Ha!

These clothes pieces are a bit pricer than clothes that I typically buy for my children, I’m a Carter’s and Target shopper mostly for my kids since they grow so fast, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful quality of the clothes that I received and the price difference isn’t that extreme, especially since I could tell right away that the quality was better. I know that a lot of family’s will typically hand down pieces of clothing to younger children in the family after a child has outgrown his/her clothes and sometimes the Target clothes just don’t make it that far. These clothes from Jojo Maman Bebe though would hold up remarkably well, I bet – so you do most definitely get what you pay for and they are super adorable.

This is the long-sleeved shirt that I received for Luke:

It’s true to size, wonderful quality and the applique on the front is seriously top-notch. The buttons on the top part of the sleeve were a bit cumbersome to button back up once Luke was wearing the shirt, but then again, buttons in general can be a pain, especially when dealing with them on kids’ clothing. I love the uniqueness of the applique and it was lined with cotton to help those with sensitive skin. I always hate when appliques have that itchy back to them and I know that bothers Luke, so I was thankful that they took the extra step and did that for kids. It’s 100% cotton and just so adorable. I mean, come on – look at that cute fishing fox!

Here’s Luke modeling the shirt. Um, it’s even more adorable ON him. ;)

This is the face you get when you tell Luke to “smile.” Yep. :)

    Moving on. ;)

The next item I got to try on Luke is this really cute Dinosaur Zip-Up Hoodie.

Luke was a big fan of the hoodie and so was I! It’s super soft, has another high-quality applique on it and this time it was a dinosaur and well, Luke is in that DINOSAUR EVERYTHING stage right now so he approved for sure.

Here he is doing he best dinosaur “ROAR!!!!!” ;)

I love how there were primary colored stripes inside the hood of the hoodie and how there are also some dino spikes on the top of the hoodie part of the jacket. Here’s a shot of that so you can see it better:

Totally adorable, right? Luke didn’t want to take it off. I think it really uppped his “dinosaur impersonation” game for sure. ;) Such a cute, whimsical touch on the hoodie!

The PJs and sock slippers were another hit with Luke because they had, you guessed it, dinosaurs on them!

    luke6

I love them as a Mama though because they were comfy, soft, made really well and once again, the applique was beautifully done.

These sock slippers are great, too! Luke loves to run around (a lot) and on our hard wood floors downstairs I’m always worried he’s going to fall because he likes to wear socks and I like to keep his feet warm (especially in the winter)  so these are great because they have an anti-slip suede sole and are really stretchy and comfy. Luke normally doesn’t keep other slippers on his feet for too long, but he kept these on his feet for a good while. They can also be wiped clean easily and the stitching is really durable and strong. Overall a super cute, comfy and durable sock-slipper!

The last item I had to review is this dinosaur knitted hat.

    luke5

Oh my word, is this hat cute and it looked adorable on Luke, too! I love how whimsical this hat is. It’s lined with fleece, has a cute strap that can be fastened under the chin (although Luke wanted no part in that) and really was soft. I know it would keep him warm all the while looking cute. It’s not too tight and there’s even room for his head to grow some more, so I see this hat being around for awhile. There’s a matching scarf and mittens as well, so that might be something we need to buy! Another cute thing about the hat is that there are spikes along the top of it (like the hoodie above).

    ADORABLE!

I’m so glad that I was given the opportunity to try out first-hand the clothes from JoJo Maman Bebe because I honestly had no idea that this company even existed. After reading a bit about their history and see what all they do to give back, I’m thankful for companies like them no matter where they are in the world. I think it’s awesome that being in the US we can now shop with them and support them. They have a rewards program and they also have a way that you can save when you buy multiples of a product in like two different colors/styles, which is cool. Oh, and right now they even have a sale going on where you can save 20% off when you use the code SAVE20 from now until October 31st.

The website was easy to navigate and I love that they offer way more than children’s clothing, too – there’s maternity clothing, toys, different types of baby gear, feeding and health products, nursery items and more! Lots of selection and free shipping on orders of $75 and more!

So there you have it – so glad I’m not a stranger to JoJo Maman Bebe anymore! I’m definitely going to shop there! I’ve already got some other things for Luke bookmarked and some baby shower gifts bookmarked, too! They have some really precious and beautiful things for new Mamas, so I’m excited about that!

Thanks so much to the sweet folks at JoJo Maman Bebe for contacting me and sending me some products to review. It was a lot of fun and Luke loves them all, too! You’ve made his dino dreams come true! ;)

    Have a great day, everyone!
