Day in the Life™| November 2018

Hey friends!

Ok, so YES I promise I still do scrapbook friends. Ha! In fact, I just wrapped up my Day in the Life™ from the end of November and although we’ve had so many cloudy days here lately and my photos aren’t the greatest – I still wanted to share my simple, DITL spread with y’all, so here I am.

Day in the Life™ and Week in the Life™ are my favorite ways to document (outside of Project Life) and I just love how capturing even the ordinary, every day moments can just feel so beautiful and perfect.

I’m not going to lie though – the “gratitude” theme of this DITL had me struggling a little bit. Not sure if any of you felt the same, but it’s not the easiest capturing “gratitude” in photos. I mean, I have SO much to be thankful for and I felt that during the day, but when I’d go to snap a photo – I wan’t sure if it captured it well enough, ya know? Hard to explain, but this time with this theme, it just felt harder to accomplish in a day. Before I would just set an alarm on my watch for every hour and then when it goes off I would snap a photo of what was going on at that time. Easy enough, right?

I really DO love though what I was able to capture that day, despite it coming together a bit slower for me and so here is my simple, page spread that I want to share:

I used the DESIGN F Project Life page protector to slip my cards into. That’s what I have used to capture most of the Days in the Life that I’ve done the past couple of years and I love it because I can then just slip this right into my Project Life album and the day is documented.

I used Ali’s Day in the Life™ mini kit and found it so easy to use because it all coordinates and it’s small and simple. I love it and the color palette, too.

Here’s the back of the spread. Like I said, I kept this SUPER simple and decided to print out each photo and trim it to fit on each card. I then created a 3×4 file in Photoshop for the journaling cards and just included the card number on the top of it to coordinate with the card with the photo on it to tell the story. Since I shared the photos on my Instagram account (kristina.proffitt), I just copied + pasted it from there to my file and then printed them out. SO easy.

I loved the small chipboard circles and used them here and there on both the cards with photos and the journaling cards, especially when I had some white space on the bottom.

So glad to have this day documented and to take part in this project again. I highly recommend you give it a-try next time and keep it simple, friends. That’s the key. Just document with photos + stories and keep it simple as you put them both together. That’s the beauty of this project, I think. It’s a day, totally doable and you’ll love the outcome EVERY time.
