Week in the Life™ 2018 | Monday Words + Photos

Morning, friends! I’m sharing all of my photos + words for each day here on my blog so that I can 1) keep myself accountable 2) share – because I LOVE seeing other people’s photos + words and 3) make it easier for myself when I actually go and put all of this into the album … one day! ;)

6:52am | Woke up earlier than usual this morning after Luke found his into way to our bed and gave me a good kick in the ribs. Decided to spend some time in my Bible (Ecclesiastes 3, to be exact) and a few minutes later this sweet little guy was up and on my lap.

7:32am | Jack & Luke are finishing up their breakfast. Luke loves the smoothie I make, Jack not so much. This morning I let Jack skip the smoothie and he was just a bit excited about it. He opted for some cinnamon toast instead. Luke, on the other hand, wanted MORE smoothie.

9:03am | Time for a new sensor. Praying this one doesn’t crap out on us like it did yesterday.

9:52am | They’re all about ninja fighting nowadays.

10:34am | Spelling with Jack. Reading has started to finally click for him and it’s so cool to watch. I love how great he is at sounding out words and I’m just so proud of him. He tries real hard and is doing a great job! 

11:58am | I’m definitely not a fan of selfies, but I figured a car selfie is what I do best and I wanted to get in front of the camera during this week in the life! ?? Grabbing some lunch at Little Rosie‘s and yes I’m wearing a sweater even though it’s 77° out. ? I’d rather look like a fool then put on a bra to go through the drive-thru! 

1:02pm | Jack. Currently loves: Minecraft, Ninja moves, watching YouTube videos about Minecraft (@unspeakablegaming, @09sharkboy and@itsmoosecraft are his favorites!), breakdancing, reading and snacks. Currently does not like: anything minty, riding in cars for long periods of time, noogies and not getting a hundred hugs while he’s being tucked into bed at night. 

2:22pm | She’s still Rainbow-looming the day away. 

3:01pm | Listening to @thegoodandthebeautiful’s history recording on Thomas Jefferson. Thankful for these moments with them and for a wonderful, God-filled curriculum that we all enjoy so much.

4:04pm | Legos with Luke. He is building me a super secret house.

6:50pm | Looks like a storm might be rolling in.

There’s Monday. It was a full day with a lot of mundane, beautiful good stuff in it. Not always easy, super tiring, but worth it. I’ll share Tuesday’s photo + words tomorrow.
