Back in October I tried some of the Rawxies Heart Bars for the first time. I gave the Lemon Poppy Seed a shot and really enjoyed it and so did 2 out of 3 of my kids (and they are pretty picky, y’all so that was a big success)! I love how these treats are gluten free, soy free, dairy free and are a good, clean treat that I can eat and feel good about eating AND that I can give them to my kids and feel good about that, too.

Recently I was sent a couple other flavors to try out and so I wanted to share those here with you all and let you know what I thought! The two other flavors that I was sent was the Mint Chocolate Chip and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Now, if you know me, you know that I am slightly obsessed with any and all things cookie dough (ha!) and so I was excited to try that one especially.

I love how each bar is in a heart shape (hence the name, Heart Bar) and my kids got a kick out of that, too – especially my daughter. All three of the Heart Bars that I’ve tried up to this point have been really tasty, which is amazing considering they don’t have all of that normal junk that usually makes stuff taste good. ;) The taste is something you have to get used to a bit – it’s chewy and the texture is a bit different than probably what you’re used to and it’s not as sweet as some treats, but you have to remember that this bar is a healthy alternative to all of that junk that’s out there that is bad for you. I personally love the taste of the dates, which is one of the ingredients that I tasted in all three bars. The Mint Chocolate Chip was good, but not my most favorite (I still think that’s Lemon Poppy Seed). I didn’t taste a lot of the mint chocolate chip flavor in it and I was really hoping to taste more of the cookie dough flavor in the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough one, but it was just more of a slight flavor, which honestly I was OK with because the bar was still delicious. It’s not that the flavor isn’t there – it’s just mild and not overpowering, which is a good thing, I think. I think that nowadays are tastebuds are conditioned to always want these very overpowering, too sweet for us flavors and so I was actually happy that these were more mild and still yummy.

These bars are about $1.99 and so might be a little more than you’re used to spending on a little treat, but when you want good, wholesome and healthy ingredients – it’s worth paying for, friends. Nowadays there is SO much horrible stuff put into our food. It’s upsetting and frustrating for sure. The thing I love about companies like Rawxies is that they are seeing a need out there and they are doing something about it and providing delicious, healthy alternatives for us Mamas to eat and refuel not only OUR bodies, but the bodies of our family, too.

You definitely won’t feel guilty eating these and you’ll feel full and satisfied for sure. I’m looking forward to trying the Chocolate Brownie, Banana Nut Bread and the Cranberry Pecan Heart Bars. I have a feeling that they’re going to be making a rotation in our home from now on. Yay for healthy snacks!

Disclosure: The sweet folks at Rawxies sent me the above treats to review, but all opinions expressed in this blog post are my own. No other compensation was given.
