More Of This: A Layout with Elle’s Studio

layout1-edit

SO happy it’s the weekend! Yay!  I’m sharing a layout that I just finished using the awesome October Elle’s Studio kit! I just love everything about these kits! For this layout, I wanted to include a few photos of a recent little adventure the kids and I had walking around what we call “adventure creek” in our neighborhood. I kept it super simple, like I normally always do, and had a lot of fun adding different embellishments from the kit to the layout. I also used a couple of the items in the kit in a unique way, which I’ll tell you about in a bit.

The “love” diecut that you see stapled to the top right photo was actually cut out of a journaling card. I just loved the element, but knew that I didn’t have space for the entire card, so I just simply cut it out. Just because you can’t use the entire journaling card, doesn’t mean you can’t use some of it, am I right? Ha! So don’t be afraid to cut apart cards and different embellishments and play with it all more. I’m just NOW slowly trying new things and learning that, but it’s fun!

Then I took some of the die cut pieces in the kit and stapled them along the side of my 4×6 photo. I love seeing them all stacked up like that. Ha! The blue diagonal striped diecut is actually a piece that I cut from a tag die cut. Once again – just cut stuff up and have some fun! The “MY TRIBE” is from the super cute coordinating stamp set! LOVE it! My kids are definitely my tribe! ;) I also added a cute acrylic star to this area, too.

I wanted to add a bit of embellishing on this little corner as well and so I stapled the “enjoy” circle diecut and then actually cut up one of the Autumn Wood Veneers and stapled that on it, too. I have a thing for my tiny attacher, y’all. It’s one of my MOST favorite tools. LIKE EVER. Get you one.

I added the “such a blessing to me” die cut to the actual photo (are my kids cute or what?!) and then also added the “more of this” die cut to the center of both photos. I liked the way that looked.

Of course I added another little acrylic star on this side, too. :)

Hoping to get some more scrapbooking done this weekend, but wanted to pop in here and share this one! Have a great weekend, friends! Hope you go and have some fun adventures, too! ;)
