Always a Good Idea Layout + Elle’s Studio

luke1

Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m sharing a layout that I whipped up using the super cute July Elle’s Studio exclusive kit. I shared the kit yesterday and wanted to share something that I created with it today. As you know, I periodically like to do traditional layouts and include them in my Project Life album. It gives me the chance to do a larger scrapbook page, but still keep it simple with most of my memory keeping. I still do love a good 8.5×11 layout every now and then, especially when I have some really cute products to use on it.

For this layout, I used a piece of patterened paper that is actually from the Elle’s Studio collection called, Sunny Days. It coordinates PERFECTLY with this July kit and I knew that I wanted to use the two together and this blue matched great with the navy on Luke’s shirt.

I printed out 2 3×4 photos and adhered them onto the page in a scattered way and then used the super cute camera 3×3 card in the kit and layered that on top of both photos as shown.luke4

I then used one of the banner die cuts and stapled it to the top left of the layout and adhered a little wooden heart from a previous Elle’s Studio collection. I thought it was the perfect touch and oh my word, so adorable.

I cut down another one of the 3×4 cards in the kit so that I could make my own little journaling box that worked for this layout. I stapled one of the vellum heart pieces (that you can purchase that coordinates with the kit) and then wrote “taking a photo” on the “is always a good idea” card. I totally think that’s SO right and was perfect for this pictures! Ha! ;)

I then added the wooden “GOOD TIMES” wooden label tab to the top of a photo and then cut out the “SO FUN” label from the kit and adhered that below it.

Then lastly I just scattered some of the acrylic star embellishments that you can get that coordinate with the kit here and there on the layout and that was it, friends. Super simple and fun to create!

Be sure to check out the July monthly kit from Elle’s Studio and all of the other coordinating goodness that you can get, too! Once the kit is sold out, it’s gone and so make sure you snag one!

Have a blessed Monday, everyone!

XO!

Super cute layout :) Love those pictures – I have a soft spot for your son, he reminds me of my little guy :) And I LOVE the July kit and Sunny Days collection – ordered them both the other day. Can’t wait to get them and play!

[…] Also included in the middle of this is 4 traditional 8.5×11 layouts that I did using Freckled Fawn & Elle’s Studio goodies. Sometimes I just feel like doing a traditional layout and so I do! Ha! I want to be sure to include them in my Project Life album so that’s why I just slip them into page protectors and I’m good to go! I’ve shared these on the blog so you can find more about them HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE. […]
