Freckled Fawn Layout

Hi friends! I recently created an 8.5×11 layout with the April Freckled Fawn kit that I received and had so much fun!

I love how versatile the embellishment kits are and how I always have WAY more than enough to complete multiple projects. This month I decided to create a fun 8.5×11 layout of a picture that I took of my two boys in the bath. Do you ever snap a photo and then as soon as you see it – you want to scrap it RIGHT AWAY? That’s what happened with this photo and the kit goodies were perfect to use for it!

I placed the 4×6 photo off-centered a bit on a piece of blue patterned paper. Then I wanted to create some visual interest and so I use the arrow washi tape to draw the eye to the title of the layout and then also the name and date on my layout. I love using washi tape, but sometimes it’s so hard for me to come up with other ways to use it! It’s always fun to use it to create a border on your layout or even to visually draw the eye to a particular area.

I took my circle punch and cut out a half circle section on the photo and then placed the heart chipboard piece in that circle. I sort of rested it right in there. I added the acrylic “fun”, the epoxy dots and then created a little journaling strip and added that to the photo. A few mini staples and that was that! ;)

I love the chipboard pieces in the kit! I included the “here|now” chipboard piece to the layout and then added an arrow sticker to point at my boys in the photo. Of course I used another enamel dot! ;)

Lastly I added the “THIS” chipboard arrow, wrote their names and then stamped the date. I added a black foam heart from a misc. sticker sheet as well. I love all of the pops of black with the colors in the kit. They all looked so great on the bright, white cardstock.

Super excited to get this sweet photo and layout slipped into my Project Life album. I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

XO!
