Swimzip: A Review

I was recently sent a super cute swim suit for Caylin by the company, SwimZip. I watched SwimZip when they appeared on “Shark Tank” a bit ago and loved the idea that stay-at-home Mama, Betsy Johnson had. After being diagnosed with skin cancer at age 26, she wanted to come up with a line of sun clothing that protected children from harmful exposure to the sun for long-periods. I was happy to try out one of her super cute swim suits on Caylin.

The swim suit we were sent is the super cute and adorable Sassy Surfer swim suit. It’s perfect for Caylin because 1) she loves pink and 2) she loves polkadots! ;)

2What I normally do is let my kids go out in the sun for about 30-45 minutes without sunscreen to get some good vitamin D and then if they are out any longer – I will apply some natural sunscreen that I make using essential oils and coconut oil. This suit is perfect because I love how the top gives Caylin great coverage on the parts that will usually get sunburned. I also love the quality of the fabric and how it’s got a zipper that she can easily zip up and down.

Both the bottom and the top fit her great, which, for some reason, hasn’t been the case with a lot of swim suits that I’ve tried on my daughter. I definitely don’t like her having too tight of bottoms or a swimsuit that just doesn’t fit properly for not only modesty reasons, but for comfort reasons, too. This one fits great and even though it’s a two-piece (which I normally won’t let her wear – once again for modesty reasons), this two-piece is great and comes all the way down to her bottoms and so it’s like a one-piece, but with a two-piece functionality! Perfect!

I also love the bit of ruffle edging on the bottom of the top and also on the sleeves. It gives the suit such a delicate, pretty feel to it!

When I asked Caylin what she thought about it after she had worn it for a good bit outside in the pool and running around – she said it was “super comfortable and cute!” She actually came inside and wore the top of it with a pair of shorts for a bit! I’d say she loves it!

I love that it’s not only comfortable, cute and stylish, but it has a purpose, too! Yay!

SwimZip also carries really great UPF 50+ clothing for men and women, too and other accessories!

Even little boys can have some super cute gear on when out in the sun! ;)

For the quality and the protection from the sun, I definitely think a SwimZip swimsuit would be a great purchase to make this Summer!

You can check out the SwimZip website HERE and you can find them on Facebook HERE.

Have a great rest of your Tuesday, friends!

Very cute. I think this is a great idea. For adults, too. ;]
