New and improved

Hi sweet blog readers!

Welcome to the new and improved, One Happy Mama blog!

Now you can see just why I haven’t posted in just a bit. I’ve been working with my sweet friend, Emily of June Lily Studio on this super cute new blog look! I can’t say enough how much I LOVE it and how much more ME it feels. SO happy with it and Emily is SO super talented. You need to check out her website HERE. She’s fabulous and not to mention a sweetheart. Thank you, Emily!

Speaking of Emily, thank you to all of you who prayed for her and her family after it was discovered her husband had a tumor on his brain. His surgery was successful and he is expected to make a full recovery. He will have to undergo another surgery in the next week or two, but he is in great hands and doing so well at home. Please continue to pray for him, Emily and their entire family as they continue down the road of recovery. What a scary thing and a great reminder at just how precious life is and how it can change in an instant. I know that feeling all too well after Caylin’s diagnosis in March.

I want to thank all of my loyal blog readers who swing by and read my blog – even after I’m absent from it for a bit. I promise that now there is going to be LOTS more content, more fabulous giveaways, more creative goodness and more photos as well so see – aren’t ya glad you stuck in there with me? I’ve also got one last wonderful and oh so sweet auction for Caylin’s Cure. The fundraiser is wrapping up soon, so if you haven’t checked out the website yet, click HERE to check it out. We’ve got SO many awesome prizes that you can win with just a $10 donation that helps to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. We’ve even got an iPad2 (32gb)! There’s only a few weeks left and I’m hoping we can make the $5000 mark in donations. We’re about $1500 away! We can do it! Check back on Monday to see the last auction, place your bid and more! SO excited about this last auction. Caylin’s Cure has been blessed with SO many wonderful, generous and sweet people donating their time, talent and work for this cause. I am SO thankful for that!

Ok, well grab a cup of coffee, some tea or maybe just a nice tall glass of ice water and take a look around. If you don’t follow the blog yet – now’s the time to do it! It’ll keep you updated on everything going on here and there’s going to be LOTS of good stuff!

I hope you love the new look and thanks again for stopping by!

Oh, and of course I have to share a photo! This is what I found the other day right after I had fed Jack some sweet potatoes. So glad my camera was close! You think I need to put the safety straps back on the highchair? Yep. Think it’s time. Sigh.

Oops. I read your post again…guess my lack of sleep got in the way of actually “reading” you blog. Sorry about that… I was up since 1am when I read your blog and made that comment. Note to self don’t make comments when you are half asleep. The little one actually took two naps today so he is back in his old sleeping pattern.
