9 In Giving Back

MS Walk Fundraiser

Hi sweet blog folks!
I hope you are having a blessed day today! I’ve got some exciting news with a way that you can give back AND have a chance to win a GREAT prize! As you all know if you read my blog from time to time, I am going to be participating in the MS Walk on April 9th in Nashville in honor of my Mom who has multiple sclerosis. My goal is to raise $500 before the walk and so far I have raised $200. I’d of course love to raise even more than that and that’s where you come in! I know that in these hard economic times that donating can be hard and I honestly understand that and it’s okay. That makes every donation that I have received and that I will receive even more special and appreciated. So to say thank you for donating – I have rounded up some awesome prizes from some awesome people and although I know that 99.99% of people who donate don’t do it to get anything in return, I wanted there to be some goodies up for grabs if you did open up your heart and your wallet to help me reach my goal for my Mom.

I have about a month until the walk and so this fundraiser will run until then. For EVERY dollar that you donate – your name goes into the hat to win one of these AWESOME prizes.

1. A custom blog design for your blog by:

I might be a bit biased, but I think this prize is pretty darn cool. Heehee! ;)

2. A $25 gift certificate to:

3. A $20 gift certificate to my friend Monika Wright’s Etsy shop, I Love it All.

4. The Hero Arts Technique Garden DVD and the Hero Arts Hero Hue’s DVD that were done (and donated), but one of my sweetest friends, Jennifer McGuire. Jennifer is awesome. :)

Jennifer has also generously donated six packs of the new Hero Hues Designer Papers.

7. A $25 gift certificate to The Cookie Jar.

I just LOVE Lisa’s cookies. Not only are they SUPER cute, but they are delicious! Lisa is a sweetheart and my daughter, Caylin LOVED the cookies that she made for her 5th birthday party in November. See…

10.  Always believe print by Lori McDonough.

If you have an item that you sell or make that you’d like to donate to this fundraiser for my Mom, email me. I’d love to add it to the list of prizes.

And lastly, another aspect of this fundraiser is something that I am calling

When it comes to fundraising for a good cause, I wanted to find neat ways to raise money so that everyone got a little something out of it. So, with the popularity of the really cute prints that you can buy off of Etsy.com I had this idea pop into my head when I was trying to figure out ways to raise money for the MS Walk. I love to design all sorts of graphics and prints myself so I thought that I’d design some prints here and there and sell the prints and ALL of the proceeds would go toward a different charity every month – hence the reason for the name “Prints for a Purpose.” Crystal Wilkerson has generously allowed me to use any and all of her super cute digital designs for this great cause. (Love you girl!)

Here is how this will work. From now until the beginning of April – for a $5 donation that you make to my MS Walk fundraiser (you can click HERE to donate) you can choose between the following super cute prints:

All you have to do once you have made the $5 donation is shoot me an email  (click on the envelope in my right sidebar area) and let me know which print you would like. Be sure to include your name with your donation so that I can confirm it and then I’ll send you the link to download the print you’d like. You can upload it to your favorite photo printing place and print it out. Then you can frame it for your home, your studio, a gift, etc. and the cool thing is that it can be used over and over again. I use Persnickety Prints to do my printing. Check them out if you haven’t already!

In honor of this fundraiser – Persnickety Prints has generously given all one happy mama blog readers a coupon code for 15% off all print orders!  Use the code printsforapurpose when you checkout! The code is good until April 2012 so now you don’t have any reason not to donate for a good cause, get a cute print every month and then upload them to Persnickety Prints and orders lots of copies to keep, give as gifts, frame, etc! :-D

So along with some awesome prizes above that you can have a chance to win – with just a $5 donation you can also pick a print from the above and ALL of the money raised goes to a great cause!

I will have a new print or two every month – sometimes throughout the month and I will let you know what charity will benefit from the prints next. If you have a great charity – email me and let me know! I am hoping that this will be a big success and that we will all raise a lot of money together for some great causes.

None of the money raised by “Prints for a Purpose” will be sent directly to me. When you donate, be sure that you include your name on your donation so that I can have a record of your donation to confirm it. For other charities, it’ll all be donated online through each charity’s reputable site so you’ll have a receipt and it’s all safe, and secure and 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity AND it’s tax deductible as well. Your electronic receipt will be confirmation of your donation. If you want to donate, but don’t want a print – by all means that is totally fine, too! :-D
Prints are sized to 8×10 (bottom print is 10×8). If you have any questions, let me know! Oh, and everyone who has already donated is eligible for a print as well and will also be entered to win the above prizes, too! So if you have already donated – just email me and let me know which you’d like
If you’ve read this far – THANK YOU! I know this is a super long post, but I wanted to get it all out there today since March starts tomorrow and I only have a little over a month to fundraise.
I appreciate you all stopping by today and every day! BIG hugs to you all and thanks for your help in advance!
