Some updates for you

Hi! Happy Tuesday to you!

I have a few things that I wanted to update you all on and share with you all. First of all, we are about to pick winners of the latest round of Cards for Kids. If you sent cards, please make sure you are included HERE. Winners will be picked this week.

Next order of business – I have gotten a few questions about when the next Cards for Kids round is going to start. Instead of having another round of Cards for Kids, we decided to take a break and collect cards for the elderly. But you can still send cards to the kids – Jennifer will continue to collect and send them, there just won’t be prizes for that.

We will start the card drive for the elderly soon, we we need YOUR help. We want to pick 10-15 nursing homes that we can send cards to. We are looking for volunteers to contact one of their local nursing homes and see if they would be interested in getting a box of cards to pass out to their patients. Once it is arranged, Jennifer will collect the cards and ship a box to the volunteer who would then deliver it to the home. If you are interested, please email Jennifer. Thank you! You can find her blog HERE

We’re calling the card drive for the elderly:

We’re hoping that you will be a part of this card drive too – just like you were a part of the Cards for Kids card drive. I will post more details about this new card drive we’re starting as soon as I can so be sure to check back!

Also, I wanted to tell you about this cool photo challenge called 52 Photos in 52 Weeks.

You can read more about it HERE. It’s a neat photo challenge that gives you a prompt each week and then you take a photo that is inspired by the prompt. It’s fun and a great way to have more every day photos for your albums! There’s even a Flickr group to share your photos and to discuss the challenge, etc! LOVE it! It’s not too late to start either – just edit the first prompt a bit (that prompt was take a photo at 8:11 p.m. on 1.11.11) and then you can just pick it right up and keep on going!
For that first prompt – Take a photo at 8:11 p.m. on 1.11.11 – I took a photo of my daughter and I in the bathroom when I was helping her brush and floss her teeth.
And the next prompt was – Independence.
This was the photo I took for that prompt:

That above photo is one of my FAVORITES to date of Jack. See – that’s what these challenges bring about! I hope you’ll be a part of that challenge, too!

I’ll be back soon with Jack’s 3 month photo and update! My sweet boy is growing up SO darn fast. Where does the time go? Sigh.

Have a blessed day! Hugs!

I cannot even believe it's been three months since baby blue eyes joined your family. Wow, time does fly when you're having fun.

Sweet photos of your family. It is going to be great to see what everyone comes up with each week with these photo challenges.

Hey, that's a great picture of my newphew. I think he has his parents' eyes.
