In Happiness

Update, update, who’s got the update?

I DO! :-D
Ok – first of all, just want to thank you all once again for the outpouring of love, prayers and encouragement that you have given to Kate’s family and to Eric’s family. It’s amazing how we’ve received over 1600 cards for our card drive in the last couple of months. We’ve also raised almost $1000. Don’t think we’re there just yet, but if you go and donate we might. Click HERE to see the details on the Kit for Kate where all donations go to Kate’s family to pay for medical expenses. Crystal has extended the sale of the kit until the end of the month. After that, the kit will no longer be for sale. It’s a limited edition kit. ;) November is the perfect month to reflect on all that we are grateful and thankful for and if you have a healthy child or if you yourself are healthy, why not give a little bit to help someone whose child is sick or who is sick? A small donation or even a homemade card can do wonders for the soul. Believe me. I’ve seen it.

Jennifer has an update on her blog HERE where you can go and get a big update on the card drive and what our plans are now. She also has an update on how the prizes are going to be chosen and awarded. Lots and lot of good information and details on her blog. Go and check it out, won’t you? :)

Just a little bit of info about what we’re going to continue doing. We have loved the response that our card drive has received and we feel like continuing it for more and more children would be an amazing thing and we would love your continued support, prayers and cards. We are in the process of compiling a list of children who could use a little cheering up. If you have a child or know of a child who is battling something and you think they could benefit from this card drive, please e-mail me or Jennifer and let us know. We’d love to have 5-10 children on the list to receive cards. Right now I think we have about 3 or 4 kids.

Remember to check Jennifer’s blog for even more information and I will continue to update you all are on the new card drive. I need to put aside some time very soon to create lots of cards. Card making is so much fun and you can get your children involved, too! What a great way to touch another life. :)

And because I can’t seem to ever have a post without some sort of photo or song I will leave you both. :)

First up is this song that I am loving right now and I have been jamming to today. It’s “Live like we’re dying” by Kris Allen. I heart Kris. He’s such a cutie and the boy can sing. ;)

And here’s a photo that totally makes me smile. She’s is definitely something I am grateful for. :)
