5 In Happiness

One more…

Ok, so I’m back.
I didn’t think I had anything else to share, but God changed that. ;)
This song came on the radio a bit ago and it just hit home with me.
It’s by Third Day (featuring Lacey Mosley from the band Flyleaf) and it’s called “Born Again.” Boy do I love this song, then again – I’ve been a huge fan of Third Day for the longest and if you’ve been reading my blog at all, you know that I’m a huge fan of Christian music period. :-D Anyway, so this song just says it perfectly to me. Let me share a little something about myself. In April of 2000, I accepted Jesus into my heart and into my life. I grew up Catholic, have always loved Jesus and considered myself to be a Christian, but it just felt like something was missing to me. I honestly don’t remember the exact day, but I do remember the moment. I was in my car driving down the road and this might sound strange, but when I was younger I would sometimes talk to God as I was driving home after my night classes because it was dark and late and it comforted me. It was at those times when the conversation would get deep and I would pray. Something tugged on my heart that night and I knew that it was something that I had been wanting to do so I did it. Just like that I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and to come into my life. I had the most perfect peace that I’ve ever known at that moment and I haven’t been the same since.
Today I feel closer to God than I have ever been and I just wanted to share this song with you. Sure this blog is mostly to share my scrapbooking, photographs and crafty things I make, but it’s also a place where I share ALL things that I love and that includes Jesus. :-D So, I encourage you that if you haven’t accepted Jesus into your heart, I pray that you do so. If you’d like to leave an anonymous comment if you have any special prayer requests you’d like me to pray for you, I would be glad to. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them the best that I can. Now, I’m still learning, studying and on my own personal journey of faith, but I would love to help anyone else out that might not know where to begin. It can sometimes take awhile to get there and find your way, but believe me, it’s a good place to want to get to and an even better place to be. I pray you feel that same peace if you don’t already. I’m so glad that night as I drove home from class that I heard God’s voice and I said that prayer and was born again. Thank you, Jesus for being there. Always.

Ha, Third Day is THE band that converted Brad and I to Christian music/praise and worship music..We've seen them so many times in concert..did you know they are being inducted into the GA Music Hall of Fame..they were on channel 11 the other morning and sang..thought that was a great thing..

I loved hearing your story…where would we be without HIM?

Great post-thanks for sharing your testimony. I wish more people were outspoken about their faith-you never know who needs to hear it. :)
I was saved when I was 9 years old, and I am beyond thrilled that my oldest two sons both accepted Jesus as their Savior in the past year-such a blessing.
