Snapshots

Happy Friday everyone! :)

As promised, here are some snapshots of my scrap studio! My sweet hubby still needs to make me a work table and a cool bookcase for some baskets to go against one wall, but I thought I would just let you see some things here and there in my room and of course that happy blue color! :)

  • You can click on the photo to make it larger and take a peek! Let’s see – I’ll talk a bit about the photos going from left to right. :) The first photo is a framed photo of my daughter that I love along with some other happy colors. The beautiful frame is from Creative Memories. LOVE that frame! This framed photo greets me as I walk into my room and it makes me happy. :)
  • The next photo is a photo inside of the white armoire that I have in the room and the awesome American Crafts albums that line a shelf of it. I have them all numbered so that I know which ones to grab easily, etc. Once again – love all of those colors. :) The AC albums are fabulous and my favorite. Pair them with some Thickers and you have a great thing! ;)
  • The wooden K is above the door to my studio on the inside. I love K’s. :)
  • The next photo is of my happy board. :) I gave it a bit of a face lift a couple weeks ago really inexpensively. I just took my regular bulletin board and bought a yard of some happy fabric from a craft store (it cost $4.30) and then since I couldn’t remove the frame of the board I just took my stapler and stapled it along the edge. Then of course I added lots of favorite photos on it, color swatches, little inspiration pieces and lots of buttons and flair that make me happy. :) One day I will probably paint the frame white, but it’s not on the top of my list of things to do at the moment. ;) If you don’t have a happy board – you have to get yourself one. :)
  • Next is a little green bowl of happiness. Lots of American Crafts flowers in there – a couple of flowers, too.
  • Then these are two plastic colorful bowls I got at Target for like $1.50 a piece. I stacked them and inside the top one are LOTS of mini buttons that I collect and some more AC Flair. I usually buy multiple packs of Flair that I love so I have some for my layouts and some just to keep. :)
  • Ok, this next photo is of my sidekick – Maggie. Her little doggie bed is close to my computer desk. She’s always hanging out with me in here. She wasn’t too thrilled to take a picture though as you can see. :)
  • This photo is what is on top of my armoire. I have this beautiful old typewriter that my Dad gave to me that I LOVE. Our family has had it FOREVER and I was so thankful that he knew how much I loved it and wanted it and let me take it home with me. Also on top of here are a white cup of colored pencils (love the colors), some beautiful blue Ball jars that I’ve gotten at antique stores, a little wooden “dream” sign and my wire tired basket full of beautiful wooden mounted Hero Arts stamps that I love. It’s so easy to just grab the whole basket of stamps and put them on my desk and stamp away! :)
  • Here’s a close up shot of the tired basket and yummy Hero Arts stamps. :)
  • Next is a photo of my photo box that I have for Caylin. The box is a photo organizer from Creative Memories and then I just took some yummy American Crafts Thickers and put her name on the front. I have her photos all categorized on the inside. LOVE it! :)
  • I have this little “create ART” sign above the door to the closet in my studio.
  • Inside of the armoire are also lots of bowls like the green one, some baskets and a bunch of jars of buttons all organized by color. :) That makes me happy, too.
  • This little sweet vinyal wall decal was bought at Once Upon a Design . I put it right above the lightswitch in my studio and love it. Life IS sweet. :) I highly recommend that store I bought a few other wall decals too and plan on buying more in the future. :)
  • This is just a photo of my messy computer desk area. Nothing fancy about this area. You can see my happy striped curtains, my favorite piece of art that my hubby bought for me for a one year anniversary gift (I LOVE sunflowers). It’s a beautiful water color piece by a local artist in Huntsville, AL where we met, fell in love, got married and had Caylin. It means a lot to me. ;)
  • And lastly, just a little close up shot of the wooden dream sign that I have in my room. Just a reminder that no dream is too big and to always keep dreaming. :)

Well, there you go! A little tour of my scrap studio. I will share more photos as I add things here and there to it like the desk, wall piece, shelf with goodies, etc. I still have lots that I want to add to it and I want to redo the closet and get goodies organized in the drawers of the armoire, too. If you have any questions about anything, let me know! Hugs! Have a great day!

Beautiful studio Kristina! I love the color! And it is SO organized! I have a question about your albums: you number them? Are they chronological? Are they all of your pages mixed? or just specific subjects? Also, do you seriously ONLY have ONE box of pictures of your daughter? Or are they only the photos you want to scrapbook? Do you print a lot of your digital images? What is your method for doing that? Printing monthly? I am so behind in printing pictures it isn’t eve funny! :(
